Renovated in full respect of the construction materials used originally and are characterized by an old fireplace on which unfolds a boar hunt by Lanzichenecchi, by wide wood planks and by ancient vats and barrels. It is enriched by a pool area and a room surrounded by large paintings illustrating wide landscapes alongside mysterious doors with railings and steps that lead to underground tunnels and the ice-house.
Dated 1400, a circular chamber of 6 meters of internal diameter with a hemispherical vault in stone and with an higher circular opening, in which in winter was poured the abundance of snow collected from the garden, that frozen, constituted a reserve of ice for the summer.
the ESCAPE ROUTE
Narrow and with the vault in original stones, tall enough for the passage of the men and women of the time, allowed to the inhabitants of the house to escape and find refuge in the surrounding woods in case of attack by unscrupulous bandits; it is accessed by a little door with railing in medieval style and goes below the surrounding land.
the BLIND WELL
Approx nine meters deep, has been emptied and taken back to its original state appearance and legend tells that it was also used as a place of punishment and imprisonment.
Allows a 360 degree view of the hills and valleys through windows on four sides from which you can admire the fiery sunsets and romantic auroras sometimes cloaked by low misty blankets that evaporate in the heat of the sun.
the NOBLE STAIRCASE
With its extensive ornamentation of cornices, columns, stuccoes and blind windows adorned with frescoes of baroquely adorned hot air balloons, now takes back the mind at the time of the sumptuous villa when just a bolognese made elevations and flights on the same fields.
